1 Okuma’s Solaris Surf Fishing Rods
Heavy duty for the strong current fishing area, like Cape Cod Canal. it has great sensitivity for a big rod, every time a fish pull I see the tip immediately bent, but the backbone is strong to probably pull a 50lbs fish with no problem.
Moreover, very glad to witness the rod’s strength and durability. Not too long, this allows for good training.
They cast well and catch fish well. This rod is solid and for real. It’s light, strong and easy to carry because it’s two-piece. it has great sensitivity for a big rod, every time a fish pull I see the tip immediately bent, but the backbone is strong to probably pull a 50lbs fish with no problem.
It needs to be clearer on the rod selection option so you can at least tell if you are getting the correct rod type.

2 Tica UGSA Series Surf Spinning Fishing Rod
The rod loads nicely and casts a fair distance. The main reason I like this rod is that it is not a telephone pole; most rods that can cast over 8oz are very stiff.
This rod has a good amount of flexibility. The tip is not thin tapered so if you are into chunking 1-3 oz. chunk bait in the surf or river, this is your ticket.
The two pieces are super easy for transport and I pulled a couple of 10-12lb stripers from the surf with no problem at all. Most importantly for me, it casts 1oz swimbait extremely far.
The packaging was a little disappointing as the rods were in plastic bags with buddle wrap on the very ends with rubber bands, and the shipping box was empty with the exception of maybe a notebook size piece of brown packing paper

Running slow this seller did all he could to keep in touch. The packing is very impressive even with the protective wrapping on the rod tip.
Very light but maybe meant to be weak at the tip. It’s a great rod with a great feel. The rod did a nice job of bringing in 2 15-pound bluefish in its first test. It is not even that pricey and serves the purpose well.

5 Fiblink Surf Spinning Fishing Rod 4-Piece
This is a great travel rod. A Four-piece break-down fits in my large roller bag. I paired this rod with a kayaking sharky II 4000 reel with a 14lb line and it serves very well.
At first, I was a little skeptical because of other reviews but after having the rod in my hand catching bass and surf fishing I don’t have anything bad to say.
The tip is very durable and has good action but like any rod, it will break if you don’t use it right. Even casting 5 plus ounces it loaded well. Folded down it is 28 inches long.
I am amazed at how sensitive this rod is. It picks up on the tiniest sounds and bites. The nylon cover that it comes with is not durable and does not protect the rod.

How To Choose Best Surf Fishing Rods For Beginner
The rods between the lengths of six feet to seven feet work best in shallow water and to catch the fish which live in the trough.
However, rods between the length of nine feet or more make long casts and catch even bigger fish that live deep inside the water body. The length is chosen on the situation, type of fishing, and your own preference.
Power relates to the amount of pressure needed to be exerted in order to make the rod bend. Light action rods bend very easily but it gets harder as the action increases to medium and then to high action.
It is advisable for a beginner to choose a light action rod while a medium one works best for common lures. Experienced anglers may opt for high-action fishing rods.
The flexibility of the rod is connected to the action that is provided. It relates to the ability of the rod to bend on how much action or pressure is provided to it.it is significant for your rod to be quite flexible in order for it to not get distorted while lifting heavyweight and to keep its shape for long.
The handle of the rod is a very significant part.it ensures that the person had a firm grip over the rod so that it never slips away.it also helps you to have better control when catching heavy fish.
Cork handles are preferred over any other and work at their optimum.
In today’s time, sic guides are mostly used in fishing rods. These guides are perfect because they reduce heat loss and reduce the friction. Less pressure is exerted on your hand and it feels easy to have proper control over the rod.
The sensitivity of the rod means its ability to detect the tiniest sounds and the slightest bites of the fish.it assists in catching more fish in less time and does not make fishing a boring experience.
Moreover, the sensitivity of the rod varies with other factors but the more sensitive your rod is, the better.
